Here are some tips for using a pendulum:
Calibrate
Before using your pendulum, calibrate it to your energy so you know how it will indicate yes, no, and maybe. To do this, hold the pendulum in one hand and ask it to move in a specific direction, such as "yes". Note which way it swings. Repeat the process for "no" and "maybe".
Connect
When you first get a new pendulum, take a moment to feel its energy. You can do this by meditating or simply sitting with it.
Hold
Hold the pendulum with your index finger and thumb or just the tip. Hold it straight up, and try to keep it still.
Communicate
You can communicate with your pendulum by turning it in a circle. If it works, the pendulum will turn clockwise or counterclockwise.
Be patient
Pendulums have personalities, so don't force it if it doesn't work right away. You can try again the next day.
