Necklace/Tool Care & Cleaning
ACTUAL CLEANING - The necklaces do need to be washed or better said, rinsed about every two weeks or so. If you are noticing there has been a great initiated through a specific necklace then consider rinsing every few days.Necklaces trap sweat and skin oils between the beads and on the thread itself so a water rinse helps to keep the build up to a minimum. If you use scented oils, lotions, and other things on your skin then it helps to use a touch of unscented natural soap to cleanse away this added obstacle.
Recommended method is to use warm water to rinse your necklace. If using soap, lather it on your hands then rub necklace between the palms to cleanse. Thoroughly rinse away all soap - again using warm water. Thoroughly dry your necklace with a cloth or towel.
DO NOT PLACE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT.
This will strongly effect the integrity of your thread.Rather place on purple plate until string is no longer wet or damp.Easiest is to wash in evening before bed, place on plate overnight and the next morning your necklace is ready to go and help you with continued healing.Another recommendation for cleaning that can be done every month or so is to use a small, fine brush and gently rub between the beads. This can also be used often if you wear lotions, oils and perfumes to help loosen the build up that is created by these items. (We actually recommend not to use these items for the longevity and best working of therapeutic necklaces.) The small brush can be used in conjunction with unscented natural soap for a deeper cleaning.
